About Bill
After retirement from many years in the corporate world, I was introduced to coaching by a friend and fellow coach. I am a graduate of the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) where I earned the designations of Certified Professional Coach, Accredited Life Potentials Practitioner and Energy Leadership Master Practitioner. Before entering the coaching field I was employed in middle management for a large international company in West Michigan. I earned my B.A. degree In business from Spring Arbor University of Spring Arbor, MI. I am currently a member of the International Coaches Federation, the American Legion, my local Chamber of Commerce and serve as a church board member. My wife and I have four grown children and six grand children. We enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking, our dog, three cats and two cockatiels. We also love sailing on Lake Michigan during summer months.
I chose retirement transition coaching as one of my two primary areas of focus. This involves working with individuals that are considering retirement or those that are already retired. The huge number of baby boomers now retiring will be asking questions such as: how will I spend my time, how do I develop a new sense of identity, how will my relationships change, what is my vision for the future and how can I stay active and healthy for as long as possible? My second focal point is that of health and wellness. This may involve such things as excersise, proper nutrition, and stress reduction. I believe that true wellness involves both the mind and body and that techniques such as meditation, centering, and positive thinking help guide clients to enhansed wellness by helping them discover their true inner power. This power helps them to see and experience positive events in their lives
